hasta luego mendoza and ceci

again a lazy afternoon in a cybercafe - we are here sitting 3 girls, everybody contacing woth the boyfreinds, families, loading photoes from one place to another, searching for the entrance fees of the parks where we are going...
we are leaving to parque talampaya this evening...

it was wondeful to see Ceci again - we were together the 3 of us like in spain - like a little family
and the house of Ceci is incredibly cozy, we almoast didnt want to get out of the beds :)

Tha family is big, with 12 grandchildren! Consuelo was with us everyu morning.

i love tha marias in every place

And she lives in the suburbs of Mendoza, in Bermejo. It is like a village and a quite artistic area. And the families there have been living here for generations, they are like dinasties :) Ceci even had  a really old suitcase which here grand grand father took from italy!

Bermejo
We went to a painter friends party yesterday

ceci with a jazmin :)

With andrea we went to Maipu - to drink wine!!! Mendoza is argentinias most famous wine producing region - so we just had to try it. Actually it is the same like in hungary, you go to the cantines and get a little drunk. But the crazy is here that you rent a bike, coz the distances would be far too long

Mr Hugo was the best - serving free one for the 15 peso rental all the time

From mendoza you can see the Andes! There is the highest peak here outside the himalayas, Aconcagua

drunk inb the hamocks of a liquor and chocolate cellar

this will be a grapefruit one time :)

I like the colectivos (the buses here)

the only embolle (nuisance) is that you can only pay with coins on the bus . the coins for misterious reasons is the biggest treasure in this country - so everybody is always keeping the few they have for the buses. One time we went to 5 shops to ask for a change and they always lye into your eyes that they dont have

A reflection on the pork flu:
"it is not the pigs fault"

and some picass o reinterpretation

Mendoza is one of the most beautiful cities i have seen till now here in argentina! The amazing thing is that it is fulkl with trees, there are more trees than houses - and this with the dry weather! They have a fascinating irrigation system (acequias) which pass everywhere on the sides of the roads. So all the water is coming from the mountains and keep the trees so green. Sadly the people are less fascinating - ceci told us they prefer to look downwards, and it is true...

They have huge parks

tha national flower again

Jus to compare: a few kilonmeters from Mendoza the landscape is more or less like this

The ice cream is maybe better than in italy  - i hope my italian friends dont kill me for this statement

ceci told us an interesting thing about the fabricas recuperadas (reoccupied factories). The companies went bankrupt (many times only on paper) and the workers were left without payment without anything. So in some places they took the fight and occupied the factory and the working materials they were working with and claimed property about these. Obviously the company owners were trying to kivk them out - the workers were staying for weeks and weeks inside, sometimes eating some food from the heloing neighbours, sometimes paper... The solidarity with them throughout the society is so big that it would have been impossible to make them leave with the help of the police - in europe this is difficult to imagine. So finally they founded these cooperativas, which are the companies working with the exworkers, and the decision making is supposed to be extremely democratic. Another manifestation of increased solidarity is that many university students have been offering their professional help for these colectivas.
Wow

I didnt tell you i think before about Gauchito Gil. He was a gaucho (cowboy), a robin hood like figur ein the 19th century. Today he is some kind of hero whose shrines are seen all around argentina next to the roads. He must have a big fanclub who take care of these places

Tha cars are so trash that it is wonderfull

tonight we will be on the road again..heading north
